OK, what I was saying there, is that the generally used term for homosexual relationships in fanfic is "slash". This originates from the use of the / in dividing names in a relationship, as per Kit/Nita (my preferred ship from Diane Duane's Young Wizards series). You'll notice the / is used to split the names Kit and Nita. Since the term for / is "slash", and so many fanfics (in the first fandoms that had fanfiction well-known, I guess) used homosexual (often male/male) relationships, they started using the term "slash" to refer to such pairings. Is that clearer, or did I give you a few more questions? ;)
