doranwenI'm so excited about this exchange! I adore EO and am looking forward to getting to write them for someone. I hope you have a blast writing for me!
Yes please:
- 1.0 fic
- 2.0 fic up till and including Lewis (but not beyond that)
- AUs that diverge during 1.0 or up till Lewis
- hurt/comfort (both emotional and physical are awesome)
- cuddling, touching the other's face, and touch in general, especially when not in a sexual context
- pregnancy, especially if Olivia has a girl
I'm fine with:
- both of them leaving SVU if it fits the story
- noncon and aftermath (as long as neither is the perp, of course)

I haven't requested A/B/O, but you're OK to mix that in with whatever other scenario as long as Elliot's an alpha, Liv's an omega, and Kathy's a beta. (It's pretty obvious that Instinct imprinted on me, lol, isn't it?)
I also didn't request Sharing a Bed but I'm always good with that trope being thrown into any fic.
Below are further thoughts, under various headings.
Setting/Time:
Lewis is really my final point at which I can tolerate canon's torture of my OTP. I find it too infuriating that Elliot wasn't there for Liv to enjoy much set after that point in canon, which is why I've requested that my gift be set anywhere up through the Lewis arc but not beyond it. I also find Noah's place in Olivia's life too unrealistic to enjoy unless some major tweaking is done, but setting the fic with the Lewis arc as the latest possible time takes care of that.
Kathy:
There's a tendency for some to villainize Kathy and I'd rather that not happen in my gift. The way I see it, Kathy and Elliot loved each other at one point, even if they may never have been truly in love beyond high school infatuation, and they simply grew apart. I like seeing them be able to separate as friends, or find some sort of arrangement where Elliot can be happy with Olivia (I don't see Kathy/Olivia as a ship but a vee with Elliot as the pivot would be OK if that's what you want to write). I'm also OK with things getting a bit messy - infidelity, foolish decisions, etc., as long as EO end up together at the end. Whatever happens with Kathy in the process, I'd love it if it showed her in a good light overall (though that doesn't mean she can't make bad choices either - such as asking Elliot to come home for a baby that isn't his).
Babies:
I love pregnancy fic! I feel very strongly that Olivia should get to have Elliot's baby. It doesn't have to be in your fic, lol, but I like it to be an option for them (aka don't rule it out for the future, please?). I also feel that Olivia should've gotten to have a daughter, so if you have to decide what sex the baby is, you know my vote. XD
And now for the requested tropes, many of which can be combined:
Accidental Baby Acquisition:
Although I adore fics where Olivia to experience pregnancy, I'm also good with fics where she randomly ends up with a kid. Like that baby that died during surgery - what if she'd lived? Or what if some other mom left her a baby?
Alternate Universe - Dystopia [as well as Slavery]:
I have a not-so-secret love for dystopia fic, as long as my ship is together, and this is no difference. I have no ideas about the rest of the worldbuilding, but if you do, great! I'm sure I'll love it.
Amnesia:
This is super tropey and I am so here for it. I've seen several fics where Olivia can't remember who she is and Elliot has to help her, but none where he's the amnesiac. An Elliot without the usual filter, who is all "I don't feel anything for you" to Kathy but recognizes he feels love for Olivia… whoo boy, wouldn't that upset things a bit!
Coming To Terms With Life Changing Permanent Injury:
I've seen some fics for this with Liv but there are never enough. I think this would work best with her being the injured one, rather than Elliot.
Fake/Pretend Relationship:
Yeah, I know this is canon. But there are never enough undercover situations, especially if they require a thoroughness in playing the part that brings out the real feelings. XD
Forced Proximity:
I love huddling for warmth (no heat in the building, we gotta get under blankets together), only one bed (who doesn't love this trope?) and snowed in (whoops, guess we're stuck together for several days). So much deliciousness, especially with how touch-starved Olivia is.
Marriage - Accidental Marriage [plus the undercover variation]:
Accidental marriage is one of the best tropes. I don't know how it happens - does someone prank them by getting an actual license and getting them to sign it without realizing what they're doing? Do they think they're filling out something else? Plus I absolutely love the "wait, we're married?" tropiness of someone filing their undercover paperwork a little too well and making a couple legally married when it was just supposed to be a fake thing. Why do they need to be married even pseudo-legally? That I leave you to figure out. Bonus if they can't get divorced right away either and have to realize they really do love each other first, lol.
Pregnancy - Unplanned Pregnancy:
Oh yes, you can combine this with a bunch of others easily. EO sleep together before Royce and Liv's the one pregnant instead? Are they forced to during an undercover (like the trope I requested)? Do they make poor choices early on after a horrific case? Messy is not a problem here as long as they end up together. :D
Soulmate AU - Finding Your Soulmate Counts as Being Legally Married No Matter the Situation:
I love soulmate fic, but it tends to just follow canon with only an added layer to it. What I specifically love is when it absolutely changes the direction of canon, which is why I requested the one I did. Does it mean Elliot's then married to two women? Does it mean an automatic divorce from Kathy in the process? I don't know! If you are inspired to write this one, have fun worldbuilding and I'm sure I'll love it.
Survival - Natural Disaster:
What if a major earthquake happened? (Yeah, chances are low, but this is fic, lol.) Or use Hurricane Irene in 2011? What if Jenna never happened and Elliot was still at the precinct when Hurricane Sandy came? Even an ice storm could work. (Most fires in NYC aren't natural disasters since they're human-caused, so I'd avoid that.) I'd just love to see EO trying to help others, risking their lives, maybe ending up injured or stranded somehow. Plus you can combine an ice storm with huddling for warmth or snowed in… XD
SVU: Paternity AU:
What if Kathy doesn't make it in the ambulance? Or what if Olivia turns out to have been injured as well, and seeing her in grave condition gets Elliot to realize how much he loves her and can't live without her? So many ways you could take this one. (And these may have been written by others already, but there are never too many versions of the same story. Two cakes are always better!)
Touch-Starved:
From what I can tell, Olivia is very avoidant as far as attachment goes and that will cause issues even with Elliot. I requested Touch-Starved because I also don't think she gets touched enough; she relies on sex to fulfill her need for physical contact. So any fic leaning into her need for touch will make me just melt. <3
Undercover - Forced to Have Sex to Keep Cover:
I prefer to avoid on-screen sex in my gifts but this is an exception. You can lean into all the feelings afterward - as long as Elliot doesn't ghost Olivia for years, lol.
