Sue Thomas fanfic recs
Sep. 27th, 2010 11:29 pmI decided I ought to put together a post somewhere of all my favorite Sue Thomas fics--at least, the ones that can be linked to readily. (A lot of the ones I'm discovering now are only available on various forums that require registration. I'm converting those to epub so I can take 'em with me on my e-book reader, but can't post 'em here for all to see.)
This one's a lovely fic with both A- and B-plot, set probably sometime after Political Agenda (2x08): Hour Follows Hour by Laura Dugan
This one's a missing scene from Adventures in Babysitting (3x01), and is one of the best-written short little pieces I've ever seen (captures the characters beautifully!): Breakfast Date by touchingtwilight
A cute little missing scene from Dirty Bomb (1x10): Sold by zeilfanaat
This author got me hooked on an unusual pairing--this is a cute little illustration of the potential (no spoilers for any particular ep, I don't think): Driving Miss Crazy by aubreysmom
This is the story that really got me hooked on this pairing (Myles/Tara), and I think you'll see why when you read it--beyond that, it's got a decent A-plot and is just really a neat exploration of everything: WNE 1: Weekend in New England by aubreysmom
This is the sequel to the Weekend in New England fic (and you DO have to read it to really understand this one)--warning, this fic is super angsty and dark and emotional, but I love it to pieces and can't wait for the author to get around to writing the last one (she said she might start on it sometime soon): WNE 2: Rainy April Regrets by aubreysmom
This one's a nice little fic involving some interaction between Myles and Sue (not a romance): Between the Silence and the Darkness by aubreysmom
A missing scene/continuation of Troy Story (3x16)--very powerful and really fixes the issues with one of the subplots: The Human Factor by aubreysmom
A missing scene/continuation of The Holocaust Survivor (2x15)--really deals with some important issues and is amazingly well-written, as always from this author: The Great White Way by aubreysmom
A lovely semi-romantic Valentine's Day fic: Rhapsody in Blue: A Story in Three Movements by aubreysmom
A sweet Christmas fic set sometime after The Kiss (2x19): See Amid the Winter's Snow by aubreysmom
A lovely New Year's piece set sometime after season 2: Stroke of Midnight by Copycat
A cute little piece with a little A-plot and a ton of B-plot: Illusions in Las Vegas by DelphieKat
A little bit of romance here (some spoilers for The Newlywed Game/Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, which are 2x05 and 2x06): Valentine by Laura Dugan
A recently-written and beautiful little fic of missing scenes and a continuation (spoilers for 1x15: Prodigal Father, 2x05: The Newlywed Game, 2x12: The Lawyer, 3x04: The New Mafia, 3x07: Simon Says, and 3x19: Endings and Beginnings): Five Times Jack Could Have Said Something by Lynzee005
This one may not be the best fic ever but I just love it for the Jack/Sue bits (continuation of Planes, Trains, & Automobiles, 3x06): After the Storm by Anony-Mousy
By the same author (who recently cleaned it up making it so I could add it to this list), a sweet little fic with Sue being there for Jack: His Guardian Angel by Anony-Mousy
