Random overheard comment blogs tend to be really vulgar in general, with some cleaner humor thrown in. On the other hand, police officers are supposed to keep it pretty clean on the scanner. That doesn't mean they don't say funny things, though. And the crazy things people DO, or call the police about, not to mention the crazy animals . . .

"Suspects are using large scissors to carve items at the corner."

"Eastbound at the 54 mile marker we have a couch in lane three. Unoccupied."

"Unit 1, respond to the area of the highway. We have two horses and two ponies on the roadway, reportedly chasing vehicles."

"YARRRRR! Engine One you are clear to back!" (in pirate voice)

"Be advised, we have a fire in the cow pasture at that intersection."

"Caller advised her drunk redneck neighbor is out in the street hootn n' hollerin and trying to burn the tires of his truck."

Helicopter pilot, to the tune of The roof is on fire: "At the hospital, on the roof, the roof, the roof at the hospital."
Base: "Copy that."
Helicopter pilot: "I do apologize."

"He is apparently at an abandoned apartment and is holding up a fork outside."
