Dear Multifandom Tropefest Writer Letter
Sep. 16th, 2018 08:09 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
This is my first time trying Multifandom Tropefest! I'm looking forward to it. :D Below I've done a lot of describing the awesomeness about each pairing or group, and gave a few prompts in case you find them useful. I hope you have a lot of fun writing for me. :)
What I love about relationships is all the emotional depth: vulnerability, loyalty, knowing someone so well you know what they feel/think/need, even just having someone there as an emotional "rock". The whole "not being alone" feeling is such a powerful theme.
I once made up a 101 favorite tropes list (in no particular order), so feel free to make use of those if any of them get your muse going: https://doranwen.dreamwidth.org/240453.html
Besides those tropes, here are my general likes:
deep platonic friendship, romantic friendship, asexual romance, found families, apocalyptic fic, hurt/comfort, nonsexual physical touch (including cuddling), self-sacrifice, characters being vulnerable, character redemption, survival fic, positive treatment of religion, characters dealing with trauma, trust building, missing scenes, canon divergence AU (especially fix-it fic)
DNWs: supernatural/fantasy beings (elves, vampires, werewolves, gnomes, zombies, etc.), AUs other than canon divergence or alt beginnings, deathfic or horror, calling an adult "baby" or "darling", mpreg, crackfic, gore (mild violence is OK, just not as graphic as a surgery documentary), uncensored profanity, first/second person fic
DNW/Caution note: I'm not averse to mentions of sex, but I'd prefer the fic not focus on it or indulge in the physical feelings. Emotional feelings/bonds are what I focus on in any ship. If a prompt requires a mention or implies sex in some way, feel free to include it as necessary as long as the focus of the fic is elsewhere.
Don't worry if someone's written a similar idea before. My first real fandom was one where people used to write a dozen versions of the same TV ep, and I loved reading them all. There are never too many versions of the same story, in my opinion.
Some of the fandoms below have more tropes than others; this has nothing to do with how much or how little I love the pairings/groups, but more with how versatile the pairing was for different tropes. I'm sure I'll love reading whatever you write for any of these fandoms! :)
Below are optional prompts - or just plain squeeing and unhelpful "I'd love this!" - in the order that I found the tags in the tagset:
Crossover Fandom
I have two separate requests that are crossovers, so I'll break them down individually by group tag:
Rookie Blue ensemble (Rookie Blue) & Alphas team (Alphas TV)
You don't need to include all of the characters on both teams, so here's a little breakdown of my favorites:
I love both these shows so much, you have no idea. I love all the characters from Alphas, though Nina, Rachel, and Lee are my favorites. Either season's great with me. I don't really have any solid ships with this one, other than I ship Gary with no one, just can't see that. I see a strong emotional bond between Nina and Rachel but am ambivalent about what all it means. And I've read both Lee/Nina and Lee/Rachel fics and liked them, so you're pretty open here.
With Rookie Blue, I love Sam and Andy the best, but I love early seasons Gail as well. For more detail on my shipping with this show (because there is so much shipping), I am totally team McSwarek (though I don't mind McCollins as an interim relationship, just not endgame). I ship Gail with Dov or Luke (not into Gail/Chris, Gail/Nick, or Gail/Holly). You can do what you want with Chris and Traci. I love Noelle and Oliver but am not a fan of Celery. I'm ambivalent about Chloe (I like her but not the whole Wes thing) and don't really care for Juliet or Marlo (who would've been much better if they hadn't used the bipolar thing in the way they did). My favorite seasons with Rookie Blue are S1 and S2, up until where Sam goes undercover.
The only canon connection that might help you with fics is that on Alphas, when Skylar meets up with Lee and Nina at the end of Catch and Release, they're in Toronto - it's clearly marked on the opening screen of the scene. So maybe that helps with them running into the Rookie Blue team? Otherwise, I wish I had more ideas to help you out with how they meet - you'll need some creativity here!
Tropes:
Captivity - Rescue from Captivity: Whether you have the Alphas rescuing the Rookie Blue cops, or the Rookie Blue cops stumbling on a facility holding the Alphas team (why they're in the same country, you'll have to figure out…), I'll love reading it!
Fight to Survive - Natural Disaster: I love disaster films, so this is a great trope for me. :D
Fight to Survive - Post-Apocalyptic: I love post-apocalyptic fics. :D (Wish I had some serious ideas for you on how to write this, but I don't.)
Mind Control: Why does Nina have to push someone on the Rookie Blue team and what happens as a result?
On the Run - Together: I love the dynamic behind this trope and think this would apply great to these two groups.
X-Men ensemble (X-Men Original Movieverse) & Rookie Blue ensemble (Rookie Blue)
You don't need to include all of the characters on both teams, so here's a little breakdown of my favorites:
I've seen X1-X3, nothing else. I'm also quite happy about throwing out X3, lol (can't stand that they killed off Scott and Professor X). If I had to pick a favorite character, it would probably be Scott, but I also love Ororo, Rogue, Logan… I ship Scott with Ororo, Rogue, or sometimes Kitty. I ship Logan with Rogue, generally (Logan/Jean is dysfunctional in my opinion). Rogue with Logan or Scott, but not Bobby… Lol, I'm not sure there's a happy way to pair everyone off, but that's fine, you can stick with all the pining you like. I headcanon Professor X as asexual, and have never shipped him with Erik.
(Repeated from the other crossover request) With Rookie Blue, I love Sam and Andy the best, but I love early seasons Gail as well.
Tropes
Captivity - Rescue from Captivity: Whether the Rookie Blue people are somehow freeing X-Men from captivity by the army or the X-Men stumble across a criminal holding some of the Rookie Blue cops hostage, I'll enjoy reading it!
Fight to Survive - Natural Disaster: Love love love disaster films and fic with this trope would also be awesome.
Fight to Survive - Post-Apocalyptic: I can't help you with a scenario (other than maybe post-MRA in the US?), but I love the idea of this.
On the Run - Together: I love the dynamic behind this trope and think this would apply great to these two groups.
Superpowers - Sudden Acquisition: I'd love to see the Rookie Blue team facing having superpowers, with the X-Men as their support coaches, lol.
Alphas (TV)
Oh man, Alphas. I got hooked on it and watched all 24 episodes in six days. I fell in love with Rachel from her very first scene, and by the third episode I loved Nina just as much or more. Dr. Rosen grew on me over the course of the show, and I really love his character too! But honestly, there's not a main character in Alphas that I don't like, and that's unusual for me! They're just really great. Plus the show doesn't hesitate to play hardball with government mistrust, character deaths, and intense scenes, and is possibly the best show I've seen in terms of how it balances characters and storylines. The only downside, imho, was the terrible cliffhanger Syfy ended it on! (What's with that, Syfy? It's a lousy way to treat fans! Give us a two-hour movie to wrap things up, at least!)
I liked Nina's relationship with Cam, but I also liked that it ended and moved on, and I'm ambivalent about whether they should get back together, as the S2 finale hinted at. I'm also ambivalent about Rachel's relationship with John. I like the tension the last two episodes brought, with the issue of loyalties. You could see the team slowly fracturing into two groups - Lee, Cam, and Nina on the side of "anything it takes", and Bill and Kat (and John, for that matter) on the side of "follow the rules", and Rachel torn in the middle. (Gary is really an independent in all of this.)
Requested pairings (with some discussion of the relationships):
Lee Rosen & Nina Theroux (Alphas)
I love the relationship these two have. Nina seems to be just about the only team member who calls him Lee, and she treats him as an equal in many ways. At the same time, she defers to him and follows him, especially after When Push Comes to Shove. (I've watched that final scene so many times, it's ridiculous.) Her feelings at being asked to use her pushing ability in Gaslight seem very conflicted, but she seems to recognize the need for it, and switches from "push mostly for my own gain" to "push only as Rosen needs me to". (The deleted scenes in Alphaville are very painful, though, when we see her realize she really is addicted to pushing, and Rosen prioritizes finding Parish over helping her with that. You'll notice she basically steers clear of romantic relationships for the rest of the season, with the exception of the one kiss in God's Eye - I don't think she trusts herself to not damage them, and I think she would eventually realize she shouldn't start things back up with Cam then either.) And later in The Devil Will Drag You Under, she's near tears when she realizes how much responsibility he's taking on himself in the ways he uses his team, for their well-being.
Nina's always the one concerned about Rosen's own well-being, whether it's telling him he needs to get an injury seen to, or being worried about him (did you catch her tone of voice—and later, her face—in Need to Know when she asks Cam, "Why don't you have Lee?"). Before When Push Comes to Shove, Nina acted very suave, polished, and independent, relying on her connections to the other members of the team and her pushing ability to fill the void in her life; after the events of that episode, she cannot use her pushing to compensate as she realizes the damage it has done to everyone, so she clings all the more to the human connections she has. Those being shaky at first with all but Lee, she grows very emotionally dependent on him, I think, and is very attuned to him. He probably has her loyalty more than anyone; Cam follows him at the end of S2 because they have a shared goal, Rachel follows to a point because she's Rosen's protegé, but Nina follows him because of what he means to her, and would follow him anywhere, I think. You'll notice in Need to Know, when Nina's exhausted, he orders Rachel to get the aminorex, and there's really no time for him to have any discussion about it with Nina; he had to have simply said "I'm going to give you this" and she accepted his judgment. So much trust…
Lee Rosen & Rachel Pirzad (Alphas)
The relationship between these two is really complex. On one hand, Rachel seems to really look up to Dr. Rosen and rely on him to a degree (such as in Wake Up Call when he's probably the only one who could get her to leave her room), but in Never Let Me Go she said sometimes she thought all he cared about was her Alpha ability. I presume she's realized how much he cares for her since, especially when he told her that she was like a daughter to him and that he cared about her more than she would ever know. (And she clearly cares about him, as you see in God's Eye where she tells John she won't leave Rosen, even after he goes beyond where she's comfortable with in Need to Know.) Though did you notice that he held back from reassuring her at the end of the episode, preferring instead to remind her of her own strength? I think he's got some issues with being vulnerable (doing it at that one point only so she would survive) - and she's naturally a very vulnerable person. It makes an interesting combination.
Rachel Pirzad & Nina Theroux (Alphas)
The relationship between these two changes so much over the course of the show. S1 Nina is very caring despite doing a good job of pretending to be all cool and not revealing much of her past, and I love the scene at the end of Anger Management where she reaches out to Rachel. She's always offering Rachel a ride, listening to her, encouraging her in her difficulties with her parents, etc. And then you have S2, where she pushes Rachel to stay calm in Wake Up Call - and then pushes for an entirely different reason in When Push Comes to Shove. It was painful to see their relationship in Gaslight, and lovely to see Rachel thawing towards Nina as she recognizes Nina's changed (and that Nina is taking responsibility for the results of her pushing). There are some very interesting undercurrents in Need to Know, though - from Nina's "You called them?" to the way Nina says "When Rachel…" to the looks Nina gives Rachel in the elevator and afterwards, and there wasn't time to really deal with that in the few hours that the last two episodes cover. Though I like that when Kat is trying to get a hold of Rachel, Bill says "Nina always knows where she is". I think Nina really cares for Rachel down deep. I'm not entirely sure what Nina's reasoning was for what she pushed Rachel to do in the club in When Push Comes to Shove (was she trying to find the quickest way to hurt Rachel, to force the rejection she was feeling coming anyway? or was there more to it?), but when she's in her right mind, she clearly has a lot of affection for Rachel.
Tropes:
Captivity - Captured Together: I'll take any of these ships captured together (or all three, if you want to combine them). Lots of h/c potential. :D
Family Feels - Families of Choice: Rachel has a family but for parts of the show she's estranged from them somewhat, particularly her mother. Lee's only got his daughter (and set later in S2, not even that), and Nina really doesn't have anyone. I'd love anything exploring the bonds between them as a sort of family they never had or wish theirs was, whether it's father-daughter with Lee & Rachel or Lee & Nina, or sisters with Rachel and Nina… (Rachel's sister certainly isn't anywhere as close to her as Nina is.)
Fight to Survive - Natural Disaster: The Alphas team surviving a disaster together would be great! (Well, really, any two of these three - but feel free to include others as you feel like.)
Fight to Survive - Post-Apocalyptic: I've written some fics for this kind of thing, but I'd very much like to see someone else's take on it! There is never too much post-apocalyptic fic, in my opinion.
For Want of a Nail: So, something in canon goes a little differently because of one little thing… what is it and how does it affect the pairing you're writing? I love this kind of thing! My apocalyptic series tackles a version of Parish's plans with that, but I'd love to see anything along the series with this idea.
Hurt/Comfort - Emotional Hurt: So many ways to do this with these three pairings. Have fun with it!
Mind Control: With Nina's ability, this is easy to do in canon. So who does she control, and what happens as a result? Given the way canon treats her ability, particularly after When Push Comes to Shove, I'd prefer this be handled in a more angsty emotional h/c sort of way than goofy and light-hearted.
On the Run - Together: This is pretty much the latter half of An Unusual Suspect. I'd love to see this with two of them (or all three, or the whole team, as you like).
Protection - Larger/Stronger Character Physically Protects Smaller/Weaker Character: You'll have to decide which you think is larger/stronger if you go with Lee & Rachel (Lee's not that strong of a guy), but it'd be interesting to see Nina protecting Rosen, as I suspect she's stronger physically. Where this really works easily is Nina & Rachel, I think.
redemption arc: I'm not sure how you'd do this with Lee & Rachel canonically, but Nina's whole story in S2 is pretty much one of these. I love redemption arcs, and with this show they're just lovely. :)
Rizzoli & Isles
I loved Rizzoli & Isles the moment I saw the pilot. While the second season and beyond was never quite as good as the first, I still really loved the friendship I saw between them, and felt like it was really a romantic friendship, with feelings that went beyond mere friends.
Requested pairing:
Maura Isles/Jane Rizzoli (TV)
Asexual Relationship - Navigating Different Needs and Expectations for Sex: I just read a fantastic fic that dealt with this but there definitely needs to be MORE! I've headcanoned Jane as asexual for a very long time (Maura would be bi or pansexual, probably), and I'd love to see a fic with her and Maura working out what they are or aren't comfortable with. (I'm ace myself, and personally don't like mouth kissing, so it would be cool if Jane felt the same way, but write whatever fits the chars best to you.) In other words, all the cuddling and just doing all the domestic things together - which isn't that far off from what they already do! Feel free to set this anywhere in the series. If you need a preference, go earlier in the show?
Rizzoli & Isles
I loved Rizzoli & Isles the moment I saw the pilot. While the second season and beyond was never quite as good as the first, I still really loved the friendship I saw between them.
Requested pairing:
Maura Isles & Jane Rizzoli (TV)
Had to split this one off from the / version as I want very different tropes overall, though with these I'm totally OK with making it a romantic friendship if you want. It's the friendship that's the key element that I'd love to focus on here.
Emotional Overload - Body and mind shutting down due to emotional overload: I can see this affecting Maura (right after 2x10 with Hoyt? or some other time?), and have Jane there for her.
Fight to Survive - Post-Apocalyptic: I've read one really amazing post-apocalyptic fic for R&I but I'd love to read another one! Maura and Jane have such different skills that they can use together to survive, and the emotional support not the least.
For Want of a Nail: I don't have specific ideas here off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are a lot of ways you can use this one with the show! So many places to diverge things, with just a minor tweak of the facts.
Hurt/Comfort: So many possibilities here…
Hurt/Comfort - Nightmare: Given the amount of trauma these characters have gone through, they should have quite a few nightmares. Show me what the show never did! :)
Hurt/Comfort - Trauma Recovery: No prompts here, but feel free to go with it. I won't be squicked by whatever you'd write along these lines.
Protection - Larger/Stronger Character Physically Protects Smaller/Weaker Character: I love Jane protecting Maura - more of that, yesss. :)
Recovery - Rape Recovery: If this is your cup of tea, there's quite a few places where only a little canon tweaking would have one or the other in this situation. Jane with Dominic Bianchi, Maura with Hoyt in 2x10 (remember his threat to her in 1x09?)…
Rookie Blue
This show is my biggest "why didn't you watch this sooner????" because the fandom is pretty much dead now, and I missed out on so much… I watched Stick It years ago and loved Missy Peregrym in that, but for some inexplicable reason waited until this summer to watch Rookie Blue. I was hooked from the first couple episodes and watched all 74 in two weeks. :D All the drama, the emotion, the romance, the angst… (And SO MUCH AU POTENTIAL. Seriously. Feel free to AU this all over the place.)
Obviously, I love Sam and Andy the best—I am totally team McSwarek (though I don't mind McCollins as an interim relationship, just not endgame).
Requested pairing:
Andy McNally/Sam Swarek
Tropes:
Accidental Marriage: Oh, this one would be hilarious with Andy/Sam. Not sure how you'd make it realistic in any way, but still, the thought makes me laugh. Preference, of course, would be for them to decide to stay with it in the end. S1/S2 probably best on this, especially with the idea of Andy/Sam while she's engaged to Luke…
Amnesia - Affected person assumes the other character(s) is their significant other: I think it would be hilarious if Sam immediately thought Andy was his girlfriend. Mid-S2 would be great for this one, or early S1, even, lol.
Amnesia - affected person doesn't remember meeting the other person: This one could get more angsty if you set it in mid-S2 to S3.
Amnesia - Growing to Love Them Again After Permanent Memory Loss: This would work well around S5 (and feel free to pretend Marlo never got pregnant, if you like). Maybe Sam wakes up and doesn't remember Andy - and he never gets that back. Or maybe Andy gets shot as well at the end of S4 and she's the one who forgets - and Sam has to win her affections with Nick also trying…
Captivity - Captured Together: The different ways these two would react to being held would make a fic really interesting - particularly if the captor hurts one of them but not the other.
Crush at First Sight: This is actually practically canon with these two! Mostly from Sam's side, I think. (Andy is a little oblivious, and she's got Homicide Luke distracting her.)
Emotional Overload - Body and mind shutting down due to emotional overload: I'd love to see this affecting Andy, and what Sam does about it.
Everyone Thinks They're Together: Pretend Luke never dated her, or set this mid-S2. Given how many characters comment on their attraction to each other…
Fake Marriage - As Part of a Job: Ooh, this could be hilariously fun…
Fight to Survive - Natural Disaster: They're in Toronto, so make them have to survive whatever disaster(s) Toronto is prone to - or have them travel and get caught in a blizzard?
For Want of a Nail: So one of the episodes goes differently than on the show because of one little thing… for instance, what if Luke never put the house in Andy's name, thereby changing the outcome of 2x03 Bad Moon Rising? Or what if Sam had taken Andy home after 1x07 Hot and Bothered, and they ended up talking or something other than the way the ep actually went? (The events of that ep affected so many of the following eps that it's truly a "nail" when it comes to this trope.) So many possibilities…
Huddling For Warmth: These two are just perfect for this. So many possibilities and interesting times to set it…
Hurt/Comfort: I'll take anything for this, basically. H/c with these two is major win.
Hurt/Comfort - Hurt character needs to be carried: Why did we never get to see Sam carrying an injured Andy in the entire show? This needs fic to remedy that…
Hurt/Comfort - Nightmare: Given the trauma Andy's been through, you'd think she'd have a few… Either Sam's in bed beside her, or she seeks him out…
Hurt/Comfort - Trauma Recovery: No prompts here, but feel free to go with it. I won't be squicked by whatever you'd write along these lines.
In Denial - Forced To Confront Feelings: Andy needs this through most of S1 and part of S2. Please feel free to smack her upside the head with the realization that she really loves Sam more than Luke. ;)
On the Run - Together: I'd love to see Sam and Andy having to be fugitives together. :D
Outsider POV - POV Character Knows Other Characters Are In Love Before They Do: Oliver or Noelle would be perfect on this, lol, because they know Sam well enough to read him, which Traci can't. (Or Jerry, though I've always suspected Jerry didn't care for Andy all that well and just hid it because he was in love with her best friend.)
Secret Relationship - forbidden/taboo: I'd love to see these two start a relationship while Sam's still her TO, and figuring out how to hide it from everyone. (Yeah, it's been done before. So?)
Soulbonds: I've never requested soulbonding of any kind before, but these two feel like a "destined to be together" ship to me, so I'd love to see what you'd do with that.
Unplanned Pregnancy: I'd love to see this very early on, in combination with some canon divergence.
For shipping, I am totally team McSwarek (though I don't mind McCollins as an interim relationship, just not endgame). Obviously, I ship Gail with Dov (or Luke - but there's a lot of fics for Luke/Gail and virtually none for Dov/Gail so I wanted to see that). I'm not into Gail/Chris, Gail/Nick, or Gail/Holly. My favorite seasons with Rookie Blue are S1 and S2, up until where Sam goes undercover and Gail is rejected by Chris.
Requested pairing:
Dov Epstein/Gail Peck
Tropes:
Accidental Marriage: Gail's reaction to this one, oh man! Not sure how you'd make it realistic in any way, but still, the thought makes me laugh. Preference, of course, would be for them to decide to stay with it in the end. S2 probably best on this…
Defrosting Ice Queen: I've only seen one fic that tackles this with these two (it was excellent, but it's only one!). I'd love to read another one - Gail is vulnerable underneath everything, and I think Dov has the potential to meet her there, if he can get her defenses down…
Emotional Overload - Body and mind shutting down due to emotional overload: Have this affect Gail in S3… and find a way to have Dov be the one to reach her. (Nick can just quietly realize he isn't right for her, lol.)
Fake Marriage - As Part of a Job: Heeeeee, what fun this would be.
For Want of a Nail: The one specific idea I can come up with is "what if something had not caused the pills to affect Dov so strongly" or "what if Chris had not seen them in the car" because of how it impacts this ship, but I'm sure there are other ideas out there I haven't mentioned!
Huddling For Warmth: I'd love to see this with these two, lol.
Hurt/Comfort - Emotional Hurt: I'd love to see Dov be able to help Gail in this area. Might be a bit of a battle to get there, though…
Hurt/Comfort - Nightmare: I can see this with Gail after 3x09.
Hurt/Comfort - Trauma Recovery: No prompts here, but feel free to go with it. I won't be squicked by whatever you'd write along these lines.
In Denial - Forced To Confront Feelings: I'd love to see Gail having to acknowledge how she really feels.
Near Death Experience - Makes Unaffected Character Realize They Love the Victim: This would be great with either of them. :D
Recovery - Rape Recovery: If this is your cup of tea, what if Perik hadn't waited to rape Gail? He had her for long enough…
Women's Murder Club (TV)
I got into Women's Murder Club because I loved watching Angie Harmon in Rizzoli & Isles, and this sounded like a similar role for her. After I saw the video titled "The Best of Women's Murder Club" and read this comment, I was positive I had to see the whole show: "Now it all makes sense. Jane Rizzoli is an extension of Lindsay Boxer. The only difference, they keep butching up Angie Harmon." It is so true. Lindsay is like a milder version of Jane in some ways. But in the ways she's different, I fell in love with her character all over again. Lindsay can actually cry, she hates being vulnerable but she can actually do it and be real with her friends. And that just won me over. (Seriously, make Angie Harmon be all vulnerable and cry in a scene and you have me. Completely.) I love her dedication to her work, the toughness she can bring to the job, but I also love that she can still be human, still be vulnerable, that she doesn't feel like she has to be tough to be respected (Jane Rizzoli, in many ways, hardens herself in order to be respected in her job). I love that she cares about her friends, and that she's torn about her ex but still knows what the right thing is and even respects his fiancée.
Cindy stole my heart because of several reasons. One, she's cute and adorable (I don't usually find redheads fascinating but there's something about Cindy…). Two, she has a delightful personality, bubbly, a little lacking in some common sense now and then, which the others are happy to lecture her about. And three, she has a bravery and courage that is pretty amazing. When she volunteers for the dangerous decoy task in "Father's Day"… that took guts. Real guts. I think Lindsay had to respect her for that. And then with what happens to her in "And The Truth Will (Sometimes) Set You Free", well… I want to hear more. (I also have to admit, I might not be a sports fan, but I loved Cindy in "Play Through the Pain", especially her interaction with Claire's son.)
I requested the platonic version of the ship but I'm also OK with you turning it into a romantic friendship if you like.
Requested pairing:
Lindsay Boxer & Cindy Thomas
Tropes:
Captivity - Rescue from Captivity: I'd love to see Lindsay rescuing Cindy - lots of hurt/comfort potential here.
Emotional Overload - Body and mind shutting down due to emotional overload: I'd love to see this affect Lindsay, and Cindy be the one there for her…
For Want of a Nail: I don't have specific ideas here, but I'm sure there are a lot of ways you can use this one with the show!
Hurt/Comfort: So many possibilities here…
Hurt/Comfort - Nightmare: Cindy should have had a few nightmares after some of the things she went through…
Protection - Larger/Stronger Character Physically Protects Smaller/Weaker Character: Lindsay protecting Cindy would make my heart melt. (Makes me think a little of "nice job, pancake" from "Father's Day".)
Thank you for writing for me - I can't wait to see what you come up with! :D
